Bathroom Radiators

Most people would agree that the bathroom is one of the worst rooms for heating, but it’s also one of the easiest places to improve the temperature by adding some form of heat. And if you’re looking to add a bit more warmth to the room without turning up the thermostat, then it could be worth considering installing a radiator. But what type of radiator should you choose, and how do you pick between wall mounted, black, white or grey bathroom radiators? Here we’ll look at all four options so that you can make an informed choice.

Wall Mounted Bathroom Radiators

The first type of bathroom radiator that we’ll consider is the wall-mounted bathroom radiator. These are typically found in homes with exposed brickwork. They’re often fitted into the wall above the bath or shower area, and can also be positioned at the side of the bathtub or shower, depending on space constraints. They tend to work best where there isn’t too much direct sunlight coming into the room, as this reduces the amount of heat lost through radiation. However, they can still provide plenty of heat over an extended period of time – which makes them a great option for those who don’t want to turn the heating off during the winter months.

Black Bathroom Radiators

Black bathroom radiators are another common fixture in bathrooms, and are very similar to their wall-mounted counterparts. The main difference here is that they’re usually placed on top of the floor rather than against the wall. This allows them to radiate heat from both sides, which increases the overall efficiency of the unit. That said, they’re still not ideal for bathing spaces, as they take up a lot of room on the floor, making it difficult to take a full length bath.
And unlike their wall-hung counterparts, they’re not suitable for areas with lots of light streaming in. This is because they lack the ability to redirect the light away from the heating elements. They can also provide a good level of insulation when installed under-floor, or alongside external walls.

White Bathroom Radiators

White bathroom radiators are perhaps the least common type of bathroom radiator available today. While they were once quite popular, they’ve largely been replaced by their black and grey counterparts. They’re more commonly found in houses with high ceilings and tend to be slightly larger than standard ‘black’ bathroom radiators.

Grey Bathroom Radiators

Unlike the other three units discussed, grey bathroom radiators aren’t designed to provide a specific purpose. Instead, they’re meant to blend in with any decor. That said, they’re still a great way to increase the temperature of a room, especially those that are relatively small.
They’re also easy to install, meaning there’s little chance of them breaking or leaking. They’re also extremely affordable compared to other forms of bathroom heating, which makes them a fantastic investment for anyone who wants to boost the comfort levels of a bathroom without spending a fortune. So whether you need to warm up a cold room, or simply want to create a cosy atmosphere in your bathroom, there’s probably a grey bathroom radiator out there waiting to be discovered!
